Softball balls have a size of 12 inches. They are much larger than those used in baseball. Softball balls are usually produced in yellow or white with red raised seams, which greatly facilitate grip. The yellow color gives them great visibility, especially during training at late hours. The core of these balls is usually a hard cork and covering with natural or synthetic leather. It is required that they are sufficiently hard and weigh between 150 and 200 grams.
